Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga (CBK) has offered her resignation as the Chairperson of the Office of National Unity and Reconciliation (ONUR), a reliable source told the Sri Lanka Guardian.
Achieving national unity and reconciliation was a key feature to the January 2015 Presidential campaign. To give effect to this commitment, the Government of Sri Lanka established the ONUR. The resolution was moved by the Prime Minister; approved by the Cabinet; established under President; and chaired by Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.
