Cheng Xueyuan, Ambassador of China to Sri Lanka visited the St. Sebastian’s Church at Katuwapitiya, Negombo on Sunday (7th July) to inquire into the damages caused to the Church following the 21/4 bombing, and the reconstruction works. A donation was also initiated by the Ambassador to the recovery of local community via the Negombo Municipal Council.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador visited several families in the area, met some children who injured in the bombing and extended sincere sympathy and solicitude of Chinese side to the families.
The Ambassador was accompanied by all the diplomats of the Embassy and Mayor Dayan Lanza of Negombo Municipal Council.
