Two press statements have received by local media in last few hours over the newly appointed Minister of Power & Renewable Energy Ravi Karunanayake. The first press release signed by one Sisira Wijesinghe, and second was by M. K. Hasan.
In his press release, Wijesinghe informed all media institutes that the scheduled event of assuming duties of the Minister will be limited to a few minutes, therefore, Media coverage is not required. But within two hours, media institutes received another press release signed by Hasan where he was requesting media to attend the event. Both parties used the same email address.
However, the event is going will be held at the Ministry around 12.30 PM in Local time. We wish the minister all the best out of this confusion at the beginning.
