UK on Deplorable behaviour of Sri Lankan MPs

No parliament can perform its role when its own members stop it from doing so

( November 16, 2018, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Voters across Sri Lanka elected Members of Parliament to do an important job. But today Sri Lankans have again seen deplorable behaviour by some MPs, unbecoming of them and of their noble institution, James Dauris, British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Ambassador to the Maldives said in a Twitter message on the unrest in the Sri Lankan Parliament today.

“No parliament can perform its role when its own members stop it from doing so,” he added.
