Dark Days of Democracy in Sri Lanka
(November 10, 2018, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Sri Lankan President Miathripala Sirisena has dissolved the Parliament with effect from midnight today. President Sirisena sacked the sitting Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe by replacing him with the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Rajapaksa and Sirisena vow to prove the majority in the parliament on November 14 but later evening today both leaders realized that they are unable to meet the number.
We as the country passing dark hours of the democracy.
