Sri Lanka: Rajapaksa tries to meet CBK but failed

Rajapaksa at least six times has managed to send messages to his known political rival CBK, but she has strongly refused to meet him






( November 11, 2018, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Former President of Sri Lanka and the installed Prime Minister of President Maithripala Sirisena, Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa has sent several messages through his source to get an appointment to meet former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga ( CBK) to discuss the present political turmoil, Sri Lanka Guardian reliably learns.

But, while responding to the messenger, Madame Bandaranaike expressed the displeasure by asserting, “I have moral ethics in politics and I will never betray my principles by meeting a man who destroyed not only the very political party gave him the shoulder to rise up but the reputation of the country at large”, sources say.
