Sri Lanka: Parliament terminates the de-facto Premier’s Budget

123 members out of 225 members of the house voted in favour for the motion against de-facto Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa 






(November 29, 2018, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Parliament of Sri Lanka has taken up a motion presented by the Opposition to cut off funding to the de-facto Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and his office.

The Motion was approved by the majority of the Parliament, the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya announced.

"123 members out of 225 in the House have cast their votes in favour of the motion while none was against," he added.

The House adjourned till tomorrow, 30 November 2018, by the Speaker.
