( November 16, 2018, Male, Sri Lanka Guardian) The inauguration of the president-elect, Mr Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to be held on 17th November which will be attended by a huge International Delegation comprising of over 250 individuals including Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and former President of Sri Lanka Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumarathunga ( CBK).
Former Sri Lankan President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has arrived in Maldives for president-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s inauguration.
Former President Mohamed Nasheed of Maldives greeted Chandrika at Velana International Airport upon her arrival on Friday.
Chandrika was one of the first from the international community to have expressed support of the Maldives opposition coalition, which helped elect Solih, after it was formed, saying that upholding democratic values is especially important for countries facing political discord such as the Maldives and Sri Lanka.

The ceremony of the President-elect, Mr Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Vice President-elect, Mr Faisal Naseem is organised to be held at Galolhu football stadium on the upcoming Saturday evening at 5pm in Male time.
