( January 2, 2014, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Presidential candidate of the New Democratic Front Maithripala Sirisena says that his rally which is currently underway in Pelmadulla was attacked by the goons of the Rajapaksa.
He stated that stones were pelted at both the stage and crowd when he began to address the rally.
Maithripala Sirisena also stated that several persons were also injured in the attack and that they were admitted to the hospital.
