( May 16, 2014, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Entrepreneur and popular beautician, Janet Balasuriya has passed away early this morning.
The driving force behind the development and growth of the Janet brand of beauty products, Ms Balasuriya opened her first Janet hair and beauty salon in the 60′s following her graduation from the Ceylon Academy of Beauty Culture and Hair Dressing at that time.
She passed away at a private hospital in Colombo.
The funeral is due to take place on Sunday. The remains are at her residence at Sinsapa Road in Wellawatta
