( February 19, 2014, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Payments for TV advertising of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) held on Nov. 15-17 2013 are yet to be made to TV stations, 'Sri Lanka Mirror', reports today.
The amount that is to be paid to several leading TV stations on this regard is around Rs. 3 - 4 million, reports add.
Nevertheless, it is said that the amount has already been released by the Treasury.
According to reports, the TV stations charge that a middle party who was in charge of advertising related activities of CHOGM 2013 had obtained the money.
