Moments before the vote, JVP members Pubudu Kottahachchi went missing.
Opposition leader of the PS, lawyer Janaka Kariyawasam, alleged a certain group had abducted and detained the member at Payagala, and freed him after the vote was taken.
He says the vote could have been defeated had the JVP member voted.
