Court orders to conduct investigations regarding 2550 disappeared persons from the North and East
( August 26, 2013, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Colombo additional magistrate Nirosha Fernando ordered the Terrorist Investigation division to conduct a broad investigation regarding 2550 disappeared person from the North and East.
The director of the TID handed over the relevant report to the courts today and the report consist of the name list of the 2550 disappeared persons.
Court gave approval to carry out further investigations upon a request made by the TID.
