( January 3 , 2013, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa will make a statement regarding the status of the Court ruling in connection of the Chief Justice’s issue on January 8 and until then there will be no comment from the government, Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said today.
Mr Rambukwella was responding to questions from journalists at the weekly cabinet news conference after the Court of Appeal readout the interpretation of the Constitution about the legal status of the Parliamentary Select Committee.
“If we comment on the issue it would be only our personal opinions. Therefore await the announcement of the Speaker”, he said.
