2, 2013, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Party leaders who meet on January 8th will decide the dates for the debate on
the impeachment motion against the Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayaka,
Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva said today.
He said that decision on how many days the
debate will be held will also be taken on that day.
“Even if the opposition does not take part in
the debate, we will have the debate and send our recommendations to the
President,” he said.
The Minister made these comments at a media
briefing attended by several senior government ministers including Minister
Maithripala Sirisena, Dulles Allhaperuma and Anura Priyadharshana Yapa.
