( December 8, 2012, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) It
is reported that according to the report submitted to the Speaker by
the Parliamentary Select Committee today (8th) the Chief Justice has
been found guilty of three allegations of the 14 mentioned in the
impeachment motion brought by the government against her. This has been told by Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva at a media conference being held in Parliament Complex.
Only five of the 14 allegations against the CJ were investigated and
the committee decided that she is guilty of three of them the Minister
has told.
Accordingly, allegations 1 to 5 were investigated and the CJ was
found guilty of the 1st, 4th and the 5th allegations said the Minister.
