( September 19, 2012, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Former army commander & Democratic Party Leader Gen. Sarath Fonseka says that this is an era where criminals can live freely with the protection of the law.
Democratic Party Leader made this statement at a meeting in Horana, Sunday.
’’They can commit any crime and live in public. Because the law is not enforced against them. These things generally happen when the end is near. If any politician or the hooligans in their families touched even an ordinary soldier while I was the army commander, I would have taught these corrupt politicians and their families a lesson to remember.’’
’’He would be in jail along with his father who protected him. We promise you that the day we chase this corrupt government away, we will ensure justice for all. I believe Hirunika Premachandra will also see justice being done even if she is on the other side and not on our side. She can get this justice only from us and not from this government,’’ said Democratic Party Leader Sarath Fonseka
Democratic Party Leader made this statement during a meeting at the Bandaragama Bus Stand, after attending a prize giving at a Daham at the Horana Pokunuwita Sirimevan Raja Maha Viharaya.
