23, 2012. Chennai, Sri Lanka Guardian) Nearly 2,00,000 Eelam Tamils were killed by the Sri Lankan Army which had
profusely and indiscriminately used chemical weapons, incendiary bombs, cluster
bombs and other weapons which have been proscribed by International Convention
and Treaties. Although the Sri Lankan Government had staunchly and persistently
denied ever having used proscribed and banned weapons in the war against the Eelam Tamils, several
unexploded cluster bombs which were recovered from the site tender evidence and amply prove the fact of
having used proscribed weapons and such of the bombs which were recovered there
were manufactured in Russia ( Tamil Net
Web site had published the pictures of Russian manufactured unexploded cluster
bombs) and Russia has had actively colluded with Sri Lankan Government in
dumping on Eelam land the proscribed lethal cluster bombs which were given to
Sri Lanka as a baker’s dozen in token of having
purchased huge quantities of
armaments and heavy artilleries and even
now we learn that the Sri Lankan
Government is about to procure armaments from Russia for an amount of 2300
Million Dollars in order to emerge victoriously
and tide over the questions of accountability and answerability
pertaining accusation of war crimes and genocide against Tamils in the
forthcoming Universal Periodic Review which is scheduled for 1st November 2012.
Recently unexploded cluster bombs and gas masks have also been recovered during
demining operations. Very recently unexploded cluster bomb has been recovered
from a Well while deepening and de silting it. The dead bodies of Eelam Tamils and the liberators who fought
for their cause had been dumped en masse into graves. Athirvu.com has disclosed a news on 19.9.2012 that it has
been closely monitoring the landscape and physical features of the place where
mass graves were situate with the help of Google Maps and it has been
collecting and storing the satellite
imageries provided by Google maps after
the war.
The picture found above was said to have been
taken at the fag end of 2009 where mass graves could easily be seen. When the
accusation of Genocide and war crimes were levelled against the Government it
had decided to open the mass graves,
take out the skeletal remains and dispose them in order to cause disappearance
of evidence relating to Genocide and war crimes and therefore Sri Lankan
Government had sought the assistance of the Vietnam Military personal in disposing the bones who in pursuit of the
scheme had visited the place in or about June 2011 and similarly the Sri Lankan
Government had obtained special acid very recently from Chinese Government to
incinerate the bones and thus several
mass graves came to be uncovered and
acid was poured on and over the remains and in fact those mass graves which
were in existence then in Mullivaikal,
Retta Mullivaikal and Pudhumatalan had
just disappeared.
The
latest satellite imageries shown above do reveal that several buildings which
were in existence in 2009 were demolished
and removed away and many military camps have sprung up in their place.
And further the latest Satellite pictures amply prove the factum of use of acid to incinerate
the bones in the mass graves and one could see the area having been covered with a greenish moss
like vegetation which indicate that something has gone wrong with the soil. The
conspicuous absence of vegetation from the
area vouch for the fact of prevalence of a situation of
a nuclear wet fallout and the
Government has knowingly and mindlessly has contaminated the soil, water source
and aquifers. What the Sri Lankan has done to the mass graves at present
reminds one of the Hitlerites who having dug up the pits and trenches where
they had earlier dumped the dead bodies of Jews, hastily removed the skeletal
remains and ground the bones into powdery ash in the mill and mixed them with
rubbish or burnt the bones in ovens in
order to escape from culpability of extermination of Jews. What will the
Nations which had actively collaborated with Sri Lankan Government and perpetrated the crime of Genocide on
Eelam Tamils, the Nations
which had accorded logistics support in one way or another and some
Nations which do still vociferously and volubly swear that they would ever support
and stand with the Sri Lankan Government in times of need, say about the
propriety of act on the part of Sri
Lankan Government? After having said
that there was absolutely no civilian death but the death of 7000 and odd
members of Liberation Tigers of Tamil
Eelam, why should they do away with such a vital evidence and or rather cause
disappearance of such a piece of evidence in a surreptious manner? The Eelam
Tamils who were butchered, thrown into pits and covered as one would dump
carcases of animals, by peace loving and
humanitarian minded Sri Lankan Military,
did not want a green burial given to them in this way. Is not such an act a
sacrilege committed against the dead? The bones of Tamils which have become so
obnoxious should be incinerated into ash but bones of others be venerated!
Therefore the Nations which have been according support to Sri Lanka must
reconsider continuance of such support of whatsoever nature and take up the issues of Genocide on Eelam
Tamils and crimes against humanity for consideration and they must render
justice to the Tamils and further the trio in which India is a member must take
note of the averments stated above and endeavour to act and cause committing the offenders to the
provisions of International Law. .
