Who wants us in death?

( August 02, 2012, Melbourne, Sri Lanka Guardian) Donald Gnanakone included me in sharing his grief at the loss of his brother Capt. Charles Gnanakone. Capt. Gnanakone spoke to me soon after a mutual friend Richard Shivapathasundram passed away here in Sydney. I was helping the latter’s widow sort out the business issues when her husband passed away and that’s when I had a call from Capt. Gnanakone. This morning I read the tribute to Capt. Gnanakone by MsUsha S Sri-Skanda-Rajah of Canada whom also I met just once due to our common faith in Yoga Swami.

Reading through the tribute, I identified many common aspects between Capt. Gnanakoneand RichardSundram who through Budget Travel was my first employer in Australia. I could, through this experience, appreciate the tribute by MsUsha S Sri-Skanda-Rajah in relation to the job opportunities facilitated by Capt. Gnanakone to those in need of employment.

The message through which Donald shared his grief says ‘Forever in our hearts, safe in the arms of Jesus’. Our true connections are forever in our hearts. To the extent we connect through God (in the form of Jesus in this instance) we are forever in each other’s heart. We then continue to live with each other – beyond our physical connections. I had a need to be recognized as an employee in Australia and Richard Sundram fulfilled that need. I now do that to many in Sri Lanka. I believe that due to my appreciation of Richard being God’s messenger in employing me, I got the opportunity to deliver the eulogy at his funeral. This confirmed to me yet again, that the system of Truth works beyond human limitations.

The Sri Lankan Government did ‘punish’ Capt. Charles Gnanakone. But the Tamil Community to which Capt. Gnanakone added value and status through his private enterprise has duly honored Capt. Charles Gnanakone – including through MsUsha S Sri-Skanda-Rajah. This confirms the boundaries of our sovereign world. The world that returns the value of our efforts and sacrifices is our real world. The rest are paths to and/or away from that real world. This is how Truth keeps manifesting Itself through avenues available at that time and place. If we have a need and there is no such manifestation – that is not our world. If it is our real world – then God will come directly – if there is no other medium. MsUsha S Sri-Skanda-Rajah is the medium through whom God’s message about Capt. Charles Gnanakone is being delivered. Swami SathyaSai Baba came to me directly when I had a deep need at the University of New South Wales. Through the ‘punishment’ by the University of NSW with the aid of the Government, I lost status but gained real values. The status I lost was the Maya / Delusion – the world that I was never a part of.

To me all these confirm our Oneness. If we go to someone in deep need – then we are One family. We may devolve and have smaller units on the way – but they would all merge naturally to make us Universal if they are truly sovereign units. Then we are ‘safe’ anywhere in the world.
