( June 29, 2012, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) An office which is operating a well-known online daily newspaper based in Colombo, the Sri Lanka Mirror was raided by dozens of Sri Lankan security officers of the Ministry of Defence.
“They entered the offices showing a searching warrant but are preventing people from entering and leaving,” a source told the Sri Lanka Guardian a short while ago.
Meanwhile speaking to the Media, Mr. Managala Samaraweera, MP and head of UNP communication division said, he had information to suggest that a group of people have also surrounded the home of the Editor of the Lanka Mirror Ruwan Ferdinand, located in Narahenpita.
