India in favour, China against
( March 22, 2012, Geneva, Sri Lanka Guardian) The United States (US) sponsored resolution against Sri Lanka at the Human Rights Council in Geneva was passed a short while ago with 24 countries voting in favour, 15 against and eight abstained.
India voted in favour of the US and EU backed resolution against Sri Lanka while China voted against stating that the resolution was an interference to a member state.
