( February 04, Balochistan, Sri Lanka Guardian) Unknown gunmen shot dead tribal elder and Khuzdar Traders Union former president Muhammad Ramzan Zehri and injured three of his companions in Kanak area of Khuzdar
According to detail “The masked men were on a motorbike and they managed to escape from the crime scene,” police said. The victims were on their way to Ferozabad in Khuzdar when attacked. One the injured was identified as Ahmed Khan whereas the other two could not be named immediately. The body and the injured were taken to District Headquarters Hospital. The body was later handed over to its heirs.
Haji Mohammad Ramzan was the father of, the youngest, member of BSO-Azad Shaheed Majeed Zehri who was abducted last year and later his bullet-ridden body was found in Khuzdar.
Separately, two bullet-ridden bodies of abducted Baloch activists were found at Doreji road. The victims were identified as Sakandar Mengal and Abdul Qadir Mengal. Sources reported that both men were abducted from Khuzdar around five days ago.
Meanwhile BSO-Azad strongly condemned target killing of Haji Mohammad Ramzan Zehri and termed it a continuation of ongoing state atrocities against Baloch people since 1948, after the illegal and forced annexation of Balochistan by Pakistan.
In their statement published on DailyTawar, an Urdu language Newspaper, said Pakistani Military and intelligence agencies have distributed arms to gangsters, dacoits, robbers and convicted criminals and tasked them to target kill members of pro-liberation Baloch political parties and student organisations. “Target killing of family members of activists and leaders of freedom struggle is a tactic to coerce them to abandon the struggle for liberation”, said the BSO-Azad statement.
BSO-Azad vowed continue the struggle and said that such brutal attack by paid death squad of ISI and Pakistan army cannot deter the Baloch struggle for National liberation.
