JVP: An enemies of the peace loving citizens!

(June 08, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Those who express their views, opinions and accusations are too quick to judge the tragic incident of killing the FTZ worker but leaves out the assigned law enforcement role of the Police! It is also scornful that an ambassador of nation that “cleansed” an entire Jewish minority several decades ago while dragging the entire world into war. Where as in Sri Lanka, roughly 23 centuries ago, King Dutu Gemunu (161-137 BC) challenged his opponent to a ‘duel’ to save great many lives such that it would end the war! Thus, there could be more than meets the eye, as the same nation sent its emissary to the funeral of a journalist whose killer(s) is still at large, unfortunately!

Let me remind those who accuses the Police of several incidents that have taken place in the western capitals not too long ago, although there is no direct connection except the willingness of some parties trying to impose dots and connect them too.

In London, an immigrant was chased to an underground station and shot by a police officer while on top of him, having mistaken him some one else.

In San Francisco, 22 year old black man was killed by a transit police officer while the he was held face down and pleading “please do not teaser me as I have 3 months old daughter”.

In NY city, immigrant from Nigeria was shot 47 times opposite his apartment. Again, a black man who was to celebrate his “bachelor” unfortunately ran in to “sting” operation to be shot over 30 times.

In LA, there many similar incidents but one in particular, a black man who practice meditation was shot while in side apartment through eh window!

I have no clue as to why police officers behave in this manner but “fear” of their safety as well as of those who they are suppose to protect. No too long ago, UNPers was complaining that police did not protect them while their vehicles / procession were attacked. Thus, it is important to main law, protect citizens and property but mistakes do occur whilst others could only point fingers but can never avoid them. Thus, Buddha has taught us three verses, given “certain” the ‘uncertainty of life’, which is chanted by school children in Sri Lanka.

It is also suggested that JVP had been active in harassing the police to an extent that they were cornered to use power to both control violence and then protect them selves. The suggestion that if they were authorized to use “guns” or “live bullets” is all “cow dung”! The ‘police force’ is far fewer than the population of any country and they are armed to such that its populace would obey their commands. This is a universal law, which was respected by the Buddha himself [who ordained nine ministers of his father court!] but would never ordain a member of the armed forces without King’s permission! One must always respect the law and those who enforce it. Else, people like Potta Naufer would take law into their hands!

Now, if JVP is behind it they ought to be prosecuted to the fullest – removed from holding any position of a trade union and from its membership! They are the enemies of the peace loving citizens! They have on many occasions tortured and killed many civilians over decades. Thus, I hope those who responsible but cannot be prosecuted shall not walk again on this earth!! Else, it will be an insult to those brave men and women in uniform!
