“ I possess the open warrant issued by Interpol against KP”

UNP MP Dr. Jayalath Jayawardene has stated that he possesses the open warrant that wasissued by Interpol against Kumaran Pathpanatha.

Speaking at the event UNP MP Dr. Jayalath Jayawardene inquired from the government as to why the law is not being meted out against KP.

“I possess the open warrant that was issued by Interpol against KP. What are the charges that have been leveled against him? The constitution of this country applies to KP, who is said to be the present leader of the LTTE and an individual who possesses 200 passports. Don't the emergency law and Prevention of Terrorism Act apply to him? These innocent Tamil prisoners are being treated in one way, while Kumaran Pathpanathan is being treated in another. Why these double standards? He is a war criminal,” said Dr. Jayalath Jayawardene.
