(March 11, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Upon hearing of the earth quake that struck the northern and eastern parts of Japan this afternoon the President Mahinda Rajapaksa spoke to the Japanese Ambassador Mr. Kunio Takahashi and condoled with him on the destruction caused to lives and property.
