A wastewater management project for Colombo with ADB funding

(December 09, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Government has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the above project with a total cost of US $116.63 million.

The main objective of this project is to improve the urban environment by rehabilitating the sewerage system and thereby improving the public health of the residents of Greater Colombo area

On a recommendation made by the Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils Cabinet approval was granted to implement the project at a total cost of USD 1,714,102.00 (One million seven hundred and fourteen thousand one hundred and two).
