(December 21, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The post war Tamil politics is railroaded by the calculated efforts of the state to produce angels for the demons to extend their utterly nefarious agenda. A new bread of Angels has surfaced recently to serve the demons. The obedient angels have all the pandering of the state to lengthen a turbulent and degrading politics for the Tamils for very many more years to come.

Army’s angel Imelda

Wow! What a pandering by the state to promote the Government Agent Mrs Imelda Sugumar of Jaffna-an administrative officer to practice unscrupulous politics for the Tamils. Following the defeat of the LTTE, Imelda emerged from the silent world of the Tigers as the most prolific angel of the government. Her drum beating is unending and there is more to expect from the army’s angel in 2011.

Having walked through the dens of the pre-war Tiger regime and singing for the supper with the Rajapakse & Co., she very well knew how to pitch her tune in the post-war era. Her experience in the Vanni territory was valuable and she soon became acquainted with the army in the north and the evil paramilitary dominating Jaffna and playing her speciality to sing for her supper much loudly from her silence in Vanni.

It is Prof. Rajiva Wijesinge (Former Secretary General, Secretariat for Coordinating the Peace Process) who did not mince his words during his recent visit to London, when he said: ‘Imelda is very courageous and has adopted herself so much even to fearlessly walk through the corridors of the army stationed in Jaffna’.

Beyond her courage to freely walk through the corridors of the army and to play the music of the paramilitary EPDP of the government Minister Douglas Devananda, she is playing her contentious role and has become an irritant figure for the wider Tamil community over her nauseating public songs sung for her supper. Her supper may be special for her, coming with all kinds of kudos of the desperate state that is indulging in the despondent actions to play its residual role to further marginalise the Tamils to a manageable minority.

Having played an essential role in the liberation struggle for Tamil Eelam, killing the enemies in thousands and kidnapping of innocent children in many thousands to extend his war agenda, he took a ‘U’ turn to seek salvation from crimes committed by him in the past. His salvation from exile to enjoy the benefits in kind offered to him by the defence establishment for his subservient role is unlimited.

He sacrificed his combatant role without seeking honest salvation and his randy games are fully backed by the state and he needed no guns to execute them like he did in the battle front. He soon abandoned his wife and children and Manika’s and Monica’s are plentiful in benefits in kind for his loyal service for somersaulting his mission to take forward the arms struggle for freedom of the Tamils and he is now too busy pussyfooting to fulfil his egos.

Angel, Dancing Queen at last joins the paramilitary Douglas

The war distanced the couple for many years or for nearly three decades. The infamous Dancing Queen, Ankayatkanni Selvarajah, at last has found the space she needed after the war to be in togetherness with her unassuming Douglas to relieve the pressures of the long daunted distance in miles or kilometres between them.

The Angel and Dancing Queen of Douglas too went through a turbulent path to overcome the loneliness on her return to the hub of the paramilitary den is in fact god blessing for the Minister and the paramilitary leader Douglas Devananda. She is acting as the personal secretary to the Minister and the paramilitary outfit and is said to have organised an important public meeting for President’s son Namal Rajapakse in Jaffna recently.

Gota’s angel is Rajes Bala

Mrs Rajes Bala came to limelight just before the defeat of the LTTE. She soon acquainted with the Rajapakese & Co and in particular the defence establishment managed by the War Crime accused Gotabaya Rajapakse.

She won the confidence of the Rajapakse regime that she is even allowed to represent the Sri Lanka High Commission in London on important political, diplomatic (see one below) and public engagements.

The shadow Sri Lanka High Commissioner Mrs Rajes Bala is highly regarded by the President Rajapakse and in his comment in Colombo following his calamitous visit to London he said: ‘I met a lady from the media by the name of Rajeswari Balasubramaniam in London. She asked me whether I was not aware that Dr. Jayalath Jayawardena and Dr. Wickremabahu Karunaratne came to London and held a series of meetings with the Tamil Tiger leaders. These are the people who advised the Tamil Tiger leaders and the Tamil Diaspora leaders to hold demonstrations and protests on your arrival there. These are the people who have incited them, she declared. It was then and only then that I came to know of the involvements of these two individuals in the protests,” the President said. This is what the High Commissioner Justice Nihal Jayasinghe could not achieve. But Mrs Rajes Bala is now the blue eyed lady of Mahinda as everything said by her is truth and nothing but the truth for king Mahinda.

The blue eyed angel is expected to play her important role at the forthcoming Christmas Party of the High Commission in London on 27 December 2010.
