(November 21, Dhaka, Sri Lanka Guardian) Extremely popular Bangladeshi singer S I Tutul came into limelight many years back with his song name ‘Pashani’. This was the beginning of this rocking singer to win hearts of millions with best selling albums and series of super hit songs like ‘Dhrubotara’, ‘O Karigor’, ‘Jae Din’ etc.
S I Tutul hails from the soils of Kushtia, which is the ancestral home of Fakir Lalon Shah, the uncrowned king of Sufi songs in Bangladesh. From his childhood, Tutul inherited the qualities and extracts of Sufism and fell in love with the songs of soil. Though started his career as a musician, S I Tutul ultimately proved his excellence as a music composer as well singer in Bangladesh, who has the most melodious voice in today’s Bengal with the God gifted power of a very divinity in his tune and melody as well as his songs right generating from his soul.
For years, Tutul did not release his solo albums as Bangladeshi audio market was rather engulfed by audio piracy and the music industry in the country was facing mere doom due to illegal activities of the audio and video pirates. But, thanks to Bangladesh government, the organization of audio production companies and elite force Rapid Action Battalion, which have very successfully combated this evil force in the music industry and now, new prospect is already seen in the country’s musical arena. At thus junction, S I Tutul is almost set with his solo album, which will hit the market during next Valentine’s Day.

Meanwhile, prior to release of the solo album, S I Tutul recently presented a new song titled ‘Dhora Dila Kotha Dila Apon Korlana’, which has already been broadcast on various FM radio stations in Bangladesh. On November 21, 2010, he, for the first time sang this song on Ekushey TV [ETV] during his live performance.
While Tutul was singing ‘Dhora Dila Kotha Dila Apon Korlana’, camera focused on the face of the anchor, whose eyes were filled with tears of emotion hearing this song. This is one of the finest and ever best Sufi songs of S I Tutul. Lyrics and tune of this song is by Shoaib Choudhury.
As the ‘Dhora Dila Kotha Dila Apon Korlana’ song is being already on broadcast on various media in Bangladesh, a number of film producers in Kolkata [West Bengal] and Bollywood [Mumbai] are showing interest in picking S I Tutul to sing the Hindi version of this song.
Commenting on ‘Dhora Dila Kotha Dila Apon Korlana’, S I Tutul said, “lyrics of this song itself is filled with divinity and mystery. I believe, this is one of the 3 best songs in my career so far. I love this song.”
In Bollywood, celebrity producers like Mahesh Bhat are always searching powerful voice in the region. Mr. Bhat picked Bangladeshi singer James, who sang a song in a film produced by Vishesh Films and became one of the best hits in India and the region. Possibly, this is time, when Mr. Bhat may pick up another most promising singer from Bangladesh.
