The Chinese Embassy staff had entered the Committee Room 5 where the meeting was held, immediately after the commencement of the discussion and left the venue when Dai Liyanage proposed the vote of thanks to avoid engaging with the attendees after the meeting.
(October 23, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) A discussion meeting hosted with the help of Simon Henry Ward Hughes MP on October 14, 2010 at the House of Commons was attended by a Chinese Embassy staff.
A female member of the Chinese Embassy was seated close to Sri Lanka government’s image building consultant Matthew Lister of Bell Pottinger Group.
The members of the Chinese Embassy and Bell Pottinger were seen taking down minutes of the entire proceedings.
The panel discussion was organised by Dai Liyanage, a former Mayor of Medway and Nesan Shankar Raji of EROS. The speakers were Prof Rajiva wijesinghe, Liberal Party MP from Sri Lanka, R Jayadevan and M Marzook of the Alliance of Peace and Reconciliation in Sri Lanka.
