Elitists Triumphalism Prevails, as Devolution of Powers to the Tamils Looms Large.

(October 09, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) In a rather surprising and somewhat shocking development of events, K T Rajasingam who enjoyed the dubious distinction of the most hated Tamil Editor title in the cyberspace among the Tamils, has turned playing a new role. He is wanting to become into the biblical role of “The Prodigal’s Son”. Look at his writings and publishings of the Asian Tribune last month, and then one would comprehend the change of tunes.
The man who viciously and relentlessly attacked the Tamils who supporterted the Tamil struggle and freedom has now changed his tunes. What is the reason behind it?
Many informed sources state that the foreign ministry has shut the pipe line where funds poured in generously into Asian Tribune coffers. The egoist, and con artist to many, is feeling the pain and hunger for funds from the GOSL. So he and his racist, chauvinist Sinhalese sub editor Daya Gamage from USA, who works in some Las Vegas Hotel’s house keeping department are not singing the praises of the Rajapakses anymore, nor viciously and maliciously attacking his opponents like Prabakaran the late Tamil leader, or the jailed Sinhalese army commander General Fonseka. They are also writing about the possible war crimes investigations initiated by the US and UN. There is even praises to the US Assistant Secretary of State Robert Blake.
Rajaingam’s last visit to Sri Lanka was not very eventful when he gave evidence to the LLRC. He was not given the usual VIP treatment, nor did he receive the meetings he requested. He was shunned like a leper leaving his “ leper colony”. He returned as a very disappointed man. There were no approval of funds from the foreign ministry or other ministries for his work.
Will the Tamils be generous and be forgiving?
I doubt it. Rajasingam has two close relatives among the Tamils who are prolific writers. We hope to see at least one of them coming out with “Guns Blazing “. Rajasingam was even being nice to the Transitional Government of Tamil Eelam writing and reporting about the recent New York meeting at a very expensive hotel. He is referring to the former LTTE legal adviser as Prime Minister and the 4 dozen attendees as Members of Parliament, and the Hotel as the Parliamentary venue. The man who said many nasty things about the immigration attorney Rudrakumar, now is referring to him as the honorable Prime Minister of the government in exile of Tamil Eealam. (TGTE).
One would recollect the current Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka, G.L. Peries, in a reverent manner addressing the late Dr. Anton Balasingam as “His Excellency” during the Peace Talks in Thailand.. Minister Moragoda (Now out of parliament after the Colombo voters rejecting him among the 29 members of Parliament were elected to the Colombo district), also addressing the Dr. Balasingam, as his excellency. That put the two Balasingams and Rudrakumar in “Cloud Nine”. the rest is history.
Now, Rajasingam is attempting to boost the newly selected and self appointed Tamil Prime Minister, Rudrakumar. Interestingly, there is no deputy Prime Minister, but there is a lady deputy speaker Suganya who lives in Switzerland. The next parliamentary meeting mightperhaps take place in a luxury hotel in Switzerland some time next year, are the reports.
When Tamil Net, Tamils Against Genocide, TRO, and GTF are not being supporting of the TGTE, the Asian Tribune has not a single critical or their usual sarcastic comments of the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam. !Well, I guess Money Talks…. In this case lack of money is talking louder.
Of course, the opposition of this group might be alsodue to the fall out of the leader of TRO, Tamil Net, and TAG, M. Sreetharan from Bethesda USA, and Neliaddy Sri Lanka, with Rudrakumar. Nediyavan who is missing from Norway and gone into hiding is the front man, for this group. Fr. S J Emmanuel, who was former President of IFT/CJPD Switzerland is now the President of GTF. The elderly priest lives in Germany where there is hardly any activity of the GTF, and where the TGTE elections has been annulled due to “fraud” and fraudulent activity of the three groups within the TGTE.
Former TNA Parliamentarians Jeyanandamoorthy from London, and 78 year old Eelaventan from Toronto are now members of the new Parliament of TGTE. Strangely both of them were a NO SHOW for the historical meeting, which reminds some of us of the “Koddiyetram” Flag Raising by teh Massachusetts Governor of the Eelam Flag. There was no flag raising ceremony at the Hotel or Parliament. Not surprising. There was only 48 members out of 135 participating, and many did not even appear via cyberspace for some unknown reason.
