"Please explain the difficulties you have to the authorities concerned and have the program cancelled. I am also requesting the Jaffna Central College authorities and the Thiru Marai Kala Mandram to consider my request seriously."

(September 24, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) It is with great dismay I learn that a Muthamil Vila is going to be celebrated at Kilinochchi for 3 days from the first of October, under your patronage. Several representations had been made to me to contact you and to have it cancelled. The General Public of Kilinochchi, I would say a good number of them, want the Muthamil Villa cancelled, since the time in not opportune for merry making. The gathering before the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission, when they had sitting at Kilinochchi and Mullaithevu, bear testimony to my claim.
I hope you will agree with me that the people are desperately worried about their children in detention and about those who are still missing. Hence they are in no mood for any enjoyment.
Furthermore, they are supposed to be resettled, but they are still undergoing several hardships. Most of their houses are roofless and are still not fit for habitation. Families with Children undergo many difficulties. The situation faced by their Kith and Kin still in IDP Camps is worse.
Please explain the difficulties you have to the authorities concerned and have the program cancelled. I am also requesting the Jaffna Central College authorities and the Thiru Marai Kala Mandram to consider my request seriously.
