PLOTE condemns attack on Voice of Asia Media

( August 02, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Tamil political party the PLOTE vehemently condemned the attack on Voice of Asia network’s Siyatha FM,Vetri FM,Real Radio. The arson attack on this media group forced broadcasting to stop and hurt at least one person. Police and a witness said. A witness said the gang held one journalist and a news editor at gun point before burning the control room.

MR. Dharmalingam Siddarthan the leader of PLOTE in his statement said” This act should be vehemently condemned as it is an act to destroy the freedom of media.This action is a threat to the media. This type of actions took place in the past also.Whoever done this barbaric act should be brought in front of the law. My condolence toVoice of Asia establishment and its directors and the employees” he said.
