The Mind of the Yuga Prurushaya

(August 16, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Yesterday with the end of GSP)+ priveledge Sri Lanka will be loosing 500 million U$ annually.

But the President Rajapakse did not worry a little bit. He was presiding over a dull ceremony at Hambantota, where he was addressed as the Yuga Prurushaya.

While losing 500 million dollars a year, which would have caused many worries to any trader, he was talking about the future dollars that the passing ships will bring.

He had no smile in his face though. Nor was there any energy, enthusiasm or joy in the ceremony which looked like school show. Lack luster showed that he did worry about the losing dollars some how.

But, the Yuga Prurushaya must be brave. He must show that despite of losses, Sri Lanka will a middle income country soon. It is just matter of time. Just wait and see, when the ships arrive at Hambantota.
