(July 02, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Gen (retd) Sarath Fonseka today said that the government was planning to get former LTTE’s arms procurer Kumaran Pathmanadan alias KP to contest the upcoming provincial council elections in the north.
Gen Fonseka told parliament that currently KP was freely allowed to meet with GAs and officials in the north.
Speaking during the budget debate he said no action had been taken against the VAT defaulters and the main defaulter is living in Dubai.
“There are govt members who stay in the hotel run by the chief Vat defaulter in Dubai and therefore they cannot take action against him”, he said.
