(July 20, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Gen (retd) Sarath Fonseka’s daughters have urged for public support for Wednesday’s protest campaign in Colombo calling for the release of their father.
“We kindly request all who support our cause in freeing our father to honour us with their presence. Please put your party likings aside and show us your support. Your courage to stand up for this brave General is greatly appreciated”, the two daughters Apsara Fonseka and Aparna Fonseka said.
The protest rally organized by the Democratic National Alliance is due to be held at 3.00 p.m. at Campbell Park, Borella.
Meanwhile a DNA supporter putting up posters about the protest campaign were attacked opposite the Monaragala Pradeshiya Sabha office last night, the party said.
The mob had come in the vehicle bearing number 63- 1367 for the attack.
