Wimal Wants Ranil Unchanged - Sees International Conspiracy

( May 18, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) In a press conference yesterday, NFF leader Wimal Weerawansa said that UNP should not change its leadership.

"There is a major international conspiracy to change the UNP leadership. These are done by foreign extremist groups. This is a dangerous situation and we are against this.

We do not love UNP. However, UNP is a major political party whether we like it or not. So we do not want any changes."

Meanwhile, SLFP Parliamentarian Maitreepala Sirisena during a press conference today said that SLFP wish to see Ranil as the leader of UNP for the rest of his life.

"We want him to be the UNP leader for life. We will support him to survive the UNP conspiracies with our best efforts," he said.
