LTTE MAY BE NO MORE BUT TERRORISM PREVAILS

(February 26, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Edirweerasingham Sylvester Jesudasan (……) is in Sri Lanka to invest. He is very well known to Felix Perera(SLFO).Sylvester also has begun to send fresh fish and crabs from Jaffna to Colombo in Freezer trucks. The Freezer in the trucks have been removed by a notorious group. He called me at 10.37p.m. on February 25, 2010 and informed me that he has been threatened with bodily harm by S.Vijayakanthan an EPDP Municipal Councillor. A few hours earlier the EPDP Leader has visited the Pannai belonging to Sylvester Jesudasan (about 200 meters away form Jaffna Fort). Douglas has taken the law into his hands and walked into the Pannai thus trespassing into Sylvester’s lands. Sylvester Jesudasan is the son of a Retd.Army Officer and is a dual citizen of Sri Lanka and Britain. Douglas has asked the lawful owner by what right he was trying to build a Hotel there without his permission.
Is Douglas a King ? Is Douglas a Police Officer or the Court to determine that issue asked an angry Jesudasan for which a couple of hours later an EPDP member along with an unlawful assembly entered the premises of Jesudasan and threatened him. Sylvester called and asked me whether is this the future of the Tamils?
Douglas has begun to chew the betel (the symbol of the UPFA)by acts like these,says Sylvester. He says that there is a common speculation that the people of the North may refrain from voting for the Betel leaf and instead spit on it without chewing.
Who will take the responsibility for such ugly and violent acts ? We may not get the answer now but certainly on April 8, the answer will be clear .
