When taking decisions, think only about the country: Gen. Fonseka

(January 14,Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) “Think only about the country when taking decisions,” said General Sarath Fonseka. Addressing a public rally in Nittambuwa organised in support of his candidature for presidency, the Opposition Common Candidate said that people should think of the future of their children and should not repeat the mistakes they made all over again.

“We grew up in the village. Since our young days, we have spent time in rural areas. So we understand the problems, which lie beyond Colombo better than him.

“We presented a stable set of policies in a very simple manner, without making false statements or misleading you like him.

“If those policies were implemented, the Sri Lanka that you all want will be created. We believe that you will act wisely, thinking about the future of your children.

“Do not think of personal affiliations. Don't repeat those mistakes again. Do not fall for the lies spun by politicians, Take decisions after thinking about the country,” said the General.
