(November 03,Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) : The United National Front, a coalition of several political parties led by the United National Party (UNP) was formed today.
The agreement was signed at the Parliamentary Complex during a special ceremony.
Ranil Wickremasinghe, Opposition leader and leader of the UNP; Mangala Samaraweera, leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Mahajana Wing; Rauff Hakeem, leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress; Mano Ganeshan, leader of the Democratic People's Front, those representing eight other parties and representatives of the national intellectuals forum signed the agreement.

THE ORGANIZERS AND LEADERS OF THE UNITED NATIONAL FRONT ALLIANCE SHOULD PUBLISH THE AGREEMENT THEY SIGNED TO FORM THIS UNF. THE PEOPLE WHO ARE THE VOTERS SUPPORTING THE INDIVIDUAL PARTIES OR GROUPS SHOULD KNOW WHAT IS IN THIS AGREEMENT.
