(October 02, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe at a public rally in the Weligama area in Matara yesterday has challenged the government to present the budget on 5th of November.
“A week ago Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said that the budget would be presented on the 5th of November and the IMF loan will be shown,” Wickremasinghe said.
"Meanwhile they also said that they would bring forth solutions for the problems in the country and grant the relief that was promised after the war. This was revealed in parliament and to the media as well.
"Furthermore, Wimal Weerawansa is also stating various reasons why the budget should not be presented.
“I would like to challenge them to present the budget on the 5th of November,” Wickremasinghe said. -Sri Lanka Guardian
