New appointment for Sarath Fonseka insults entire the Forces - Spy specialist

(October 11, Washington, Sri Lanka Guardian) “It is an insult to the entire nation’s forces in Sri Lanka. The new offer of appointment as Secretary to the Ministry of Sport to the former Army Chief who was the person who eliminated the worlds most ruthless terror outfit, is an absolute insult ,” a top level retired intelligence officer of one of the leading foreign espionage agencies said to the Sri Lanka Guardian during an exclusive interview.

‘I don’t know what the internal conflicts are within the Government, but it’s very clear the new appointment for Sarath Fonseka is an insult to his achievement in the final battle against the Tamil Tiger rebels. He is the person who changed the methods and introduced new tactics to eliminate the terror organization and its leadership’ he said.

“From my knowledge and experience, we should give proper place to the leader and other people who had joined hands to eliminate the enemy who tried to destroy the entire nation,” he further said.
