(October 06, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Sri Lankan and Indian navies will commence a joint naval exercise today and it well be held over a three-day period.
The exercise will be joined by Indian warship INS Shardul and coast guard whip 'Varuna'. Around 300 Indian Navy personnel will join the exercise.
Representing Sri Lanka, vessels “Sayura' and 'Sagara' will participate in this programme. In addition, several fast attack craft will also join the exercise.
Around 100 Navy cadets training at the Traincomalee Naval Academy will be participating in the programme. -Sri Lanka Guardian
