(July 02, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The JVP today called on the government to pay extra attention to displaced persons in the camps in Vavuniya after claiming that they were lacking facilities.
JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva told a news conference today the persons in the camps were facing constraints and lacked toilets, water, and medical facilities.
He said some 400 persons are forced to share one toilet in some camps, according to information they have received.
Mr Silva called on the government to pay immediate attention on resettling the displaced persons. -Sri Lanka Guardian
