Riri Yaka’s curse on the UK rulers

(June 09, Melbourne, Sri Lanka Guardian) The British Government, the specialists in Sri Lankan internal affairs is in complete disarray. While I am writing this the BBC says that a leading Labour Party minister has rung the warning bells saying that the more Prime Minister Brown attempts to carry on regardless the less will be the chances for them to get re-elected!

As if a curse has befallen on them, the British ruling party is on the verge of being dumped into a bottomless pit together with their friends while the international community silently but certainly is getting ready to accredit a new set of British rulers.

Notwithstanding the historical injustices perpetrated on Sri Lanka as much as in other countries in Asia and Africa, the British planted the seeds of separatism in Sri Lanka, which finally gave birth to the brutal LTTE terrorism. To add insult to injury, the LTTE leaders like Anton and Adela Balasingham and Prabhakarn’s daughter were received with open arms and allowed to engage in anti-Sri Lanka activities with impunity.

The close liaison with the Norwegians to undermine the Sri Lanka’s efforts to strengthen the country was another area of British policy. The LTTE’s international affairs, TV stations and other media including fund raising centres operated with the British opting to turn a blind eye to them. In fact, the British are guilty of ignoring UN resolution 1373 (2004) under which the LTTE should have been effectively controlled. But, for the British, it was business as usual in using the LTTE to create instability in Sri Lanka and also South Asia to achieve their political goals of keeping a hold on their dwindling influence in the region. It is rumoured that even K. Pathmanathan, the new man at the helm of LTTE’s ill-gotten funds, is being manoeuvred by the British assisted by Norway.

The British tragi-comedy reached its nadir with the setting up and the antics of the parliamentary group for Tamils – one of the crudest anti-Sri Lankan acts of the British – who attempted to act as if they were elected by the British electorate to rule Sri Lanka! Many of the MPs in this low-bred group were involved in corrupt financial deals and had links to the LTTE’s under-world. The constant stench of corruption emanating from this group soon enabled interested groups to measure the level of integrity of the members of the Mother of All Parliaments! This has now been further exposed in the revelations made by the Daily Telegraph airing the names of Labour MPs caught with their hands in the public purse.

The climax of the British rulers pantomime was reached when Des Browne attempted to force himself to be the special representative to help give artificial respiration to the dying LTTE. Having seen the clear signs of rejection, Des Browne opted to throw in the towel, but, David Miliband was disgorged on Sri Lanka with Kouchner, the French do gooder with a colourful history. This was the last act on the part of the British to provide an extended life to Prabahakran and his mates trembling in air-conditioned underground bunkers. The people of Sri Lanka, including the ordinary Tamils, were of no importance to David Miliband as his mission was to give a new lease of life to LTTE’s terrorism probably with a plan to install the killers in a distant Scandinavian land or in Central London

Miliband too failed in his mission. But, he was a wicked man and ran to the USA, the UN, the colleagues in the EU and a few namby-pamby developing nations who depended on the West’s largesse, giving hope to the LTTE flag carriers in London., Paris , Oslo etc to punish Sri Lanka for eliminating the LTTE. The British newspapers like the once prestigious Times (now become a hack for the LTTE), the BBC and the NGOs fuelled by the LTTE finances rose in unison to seal the fate of Sri Lanka at the special session of UNHCHR. The International news media picked the signals from the ancient capital of the old world order and sleepwalkers of yesterday’s rulers of the empire, without realising that the International Community of the UN is no longer the Western Community.

The Swiss resolution master minded by Miliband was defeated by 29 countries representing over 4 billion people! Anti-Sri Lanka, pro-LTTE countries had to resort to all sorts of excuses, allegations and complaints to save face before right thinking people. They had only to look at Miliband to identify the wise man who misled them!

As I write, I hear the BBC unloading more garbage about the British rulers and I am beginning to wonder whether what was told to me by a Venerable Buddhist monk in Sri Lanka, that he together with many other monks were performing a Satya Kriya (an action of Truth) to dispel the evil forces operating against Sri Lanka, is bearing results. Or, whether the British rulers are being ordered to suffer this ignominy due to the curse of the Riri-Yaka invoked by the Thovil practitioners in the Deep South of Sri Lanka who are also angry with the traitorous British rulers and their friends in the EU. The plight of the British rulers is definitely not due to socio-economic reasons. While on the point of concluding this article, I again heard the BBC saying that Kouchner the French guy was flying to Brazil to seek more information about the disappearance of an Airbus of Air France with more than 200 passengers.

My friend in Matara who calls me often says that the Thovil practitioners are continuing to invoke the wrath of Riri-yaka so that evil eye will be now focussed

on the BBC , BBC Sandeshays wind-sucks and London Times correspondents.
