(June 18, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Health authorities are vigilant on persons who may have contracted Swine Flu, also known as A H1N1, says the Director of the IDH hospital, Dr. Anura Senanayake.At present there are two confirmed cases of Swine Flu in the country.
Dr. Senanayake said that they were on a high alert on the rest of the passengers who had been on board the flight from Australia that brought the Swine Flu patient into the island.
Sri Lanka’s first Swine Flu patient was detected on Tuesday and his cousin too was found to be afflicted with the disease. Both children are being treated at the IDH hospital.
