Wishes of the Tamil People have been fuilfilled by redeeming Kilinochchi

(January 07, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Douglas Devananda, Minister of Social Services and Social Welfare, Secretary General of EPDP and Chairman of Special Task Committee of Northern Province, stated that the redeeming of Kilinochchi from the clutches of the Tiger Fascists was a welcome news, especially to the Tamil Speaking People, both in the North and East who had been under the boot of barbaric Fascists, having lost their basic democratic rights quite for a long period of time and were happy and delighted to find their lost freedom back.

The Minister expressing his views further said that taking control of Kilinochchi by the valiant security forces would now pave way for leading the country to a bright and prosperous future and also it is an evident expression of the present Government led by His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapakse fulfilling the mandate given to him by the people of Sri Lanka. The Minister congratulated the security forces on behalf of all the Tamil Speaking People for the massive effort taken by them for redeeming Kilinochchi from the grip of Tiger Fascists. - Sri Lanka Guardian
