'There are two lawbreakers in SL – the President and Prabhakaran'

(January 02, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Addressing a meeting at the Kurunegala Town Hall yesterday ( 1 Dec) , Opposition and UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe said, the Govt. by not adhering to the Supreme Court (SC), directive to reduce the petrol prices has poured insult on the highest Court of the land . It is an absolute contempt of Court . There are two persons in the country who are not respecting the laws , they are the President and Prabhakaran, he added.

The Govt. has not only made the people beggars , but also treating them as such by offering a Rs. two reduction on the petrol price . Nowadays , even beggars are treated better because they don’t accept small amounts like Rupees two, he quipped.

The Govt. is also preparing the ground for another racket by demanding the three wheeler drivers to fix meters , so that one of its relatives can make a fast buck by importing them. - Sri Lanka Guardian
