(January 02, Mannar, Sri Lanka Guardian) The success of the latest Kilinochchi batttle demonstrates the superior morale, concepts superior fire and air power and superior military leadership of Sri Lanka Military.

The LTTE's Kilinochchi -Paranthan - Elephant Pass axis was known as a impregnable structure to many during the last couple of years of the Eelam War 4. However, 57 Division today achieved the so called impossible task.

According military officials, Kilinochchi town has been completely surrounded by the 57th division as remaining LTTE cadres have fled into the Puthukuduiruppu and Vishvamadu areas. The military soon moved into the area.

"35 Ratha Regiment elite Tigers were killed when they clashed with a Brigade from the 59 Division near the town of Oddusudan yesterday. 15 bodies of the elite cadres were recovered," military sources said. - Sri Lanka Guardian
