JVP appoints 2 committees for forthcoming elections

(December 15, Colombo, Sri Lanak Guardian) The JVP has appointed two special committees to set the stage for forthcoming North Western and Central PC elections. Members of the Political Bureau of the JVP Anura Dissanayake, Vijithe Herath and Parliamentarians Bimal Ratnayake and Dimuthu Abayakoon have been appointed to prepare nominations.

Also, preparation is underway to appoint an election committee headed by the General Secretary of the JVP Tilvin Silva and Information Secretary Vijithe Herath. - Sri Lanka Guardian
