(December 27, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Four members of the same family were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a train at the Seeduwa-Kurana train gate, Police said.Those killed included two children, their mother and the grandmother. The father is seriously injured and is being treated at the Negambo Hospital.
The incident had taken place around 11.30a.m.
Meanwhile, another four persons were killed and ten others were injured when a van collide with a lorry near the Medalanda Bodhiya in Polgahawela around 7.40 this morning, Police said.
Those killed were all travelling in the van. The injured are being treated at the Kurunegala hospital. - Sri Lanka Guardian
